Terms of Business for Elizabeth Anne Norris

Jewellery made to order
All items are handmade to order. None of the items on the website are in stock at the time of your order. Please allow suitable time for items to be handmade and sent to you. If you require an item by a specific date please quote this on your order. I will endeavour to meet your requirements.

The estimated time of delivery can be given on request.

Conditions of sale
Prices of precious metal items are subject to revision without prior notice according to prevailing bullion and currency exchange rates. In accordance with our policy of constant improvement, we reserve the right to alter specifications and prices of items in the catalogue without prior notice. All sizes, where quoted, are approximate and descriptions are correct at the time of publications but are subject to alteration. We can only accept responsibility for any item, which has been damaged in transit on receipt of notification IN WRITING within 48 hours of receipt.

Payment
All orders must be accompanied with full payment by:

Payment through ‘Nochex’ or ‘Paypal’ is safe and easy. An electronic invoice will be sent to your email account with instructions of how to pay. You will not be charged to use either of these services and you are not required to sign up as a member. You will be required to enter address and card details on a secure website. Payment for products by Elizabeth Anne Norris can be made using any of the following UK issued cards, including MasterCard, Switch, Solo, Maestro, Visa Debit, and Visa Electron.

Except in the case of account purchasers, all items shall be paid for in full in cleared funds before delivery. In the case of account customers, all invoices shall be paid in full within 30 days from the date of the invoice, the time of payment being of the essence. On all overdue accounts, daily interest at the rate of 2.5% (per month) shall automatically accrue and be payable on demand.

Postage and Packing costs

All prices quoted on this web page exclude postage and packing. Orders will be sent by courier or special delivery service unless otherwise specified. All current charges for postage and packing shall be shown on the invoice, payable by the purchaser.
If the customer wishes to personally collect their order please arrange an appointment to do so at the time of placing the order.

Returns
All items delivered to the customer shall be inspected immediately on receipt. If the purchaser is in any way dissatisfied with the item he must contact me within 10 working days of receipt of the item and state in writing the reasons for his dissatisfaction. Please return the item by recorded or special delivery, in its original box with the written reason for return and quote the Order Number along with your name and address. In the event of the customer failing to notify me of his dissatisfaction with the item and at the same time notifying me of the reasons for his dissatisfaction, no responsibility for the return of the goods or for the re-imbursement of the purchase price shall be accepted. I reserve the right to inspect any item alleged damage to or defect in any item before I reimburse the customer with the purchase price. Please note due to current EU Hygiene regulations, earrings are non-returnable.

Delivery/Claims/Cancellations
Where delivery dates are requested, they will be given in good faith but they cannot be guaranteed. If delivery dates cannot be met for reasons beyond my control, e.g. my inability to obtain materials or other supplies, strikes, delay by freight or postal agencies, force majeur or the like, the purchaser shall not be entitled to cancel the order or claim compensation for non-delivery or delay.

Title
I shall retain legal title to each items sold or supplied by me until such time as the purchaser makes payment in full for the item, including any interest that may have accrued due to late payment. It shall be the purchaser's responsibility to ensure the safe custody and insurance of the goods in his custody until such time as title to the goods passes to him in accordance with this clause.

Choice of law
English law shall govern these terms of business. All references in this document to 'I', 'me', 'my',' designer', 'maker' or manufacturer are references to me.

Commissioned pieces
If you are commissioning me for a bespoke piece of jewellery the same terms and conditions apply for commissioned pieces as for ordering online with the addition of the following:

Prices/Designs/Manufacturing costs/Materials:
My charges for client liaison, designing and making all items are calculated by the hour. If required the purchaser should ask me for my current hourly rate before committing himself to his purchase. The first hour of consultation to discuss design ideas is free of charge. Consultations away from my workshop shall be charged at my hourly rate. For bespoke designs I shall provide on request an estimate. This will be worked out based on my approximation of the time required to make the item and will also include the cost of the materials. The final price may be slightly higher or lower than the original estimate depending on the actual time spent on manufacture and the actual cost of the materials, which may fluctuate depending on market value. All prices quoted exclude postage and packing and insurance costs. All applicable charges shall be shown on the invoice, payable by the purchaser.

Cancellation
Where the customer requests the cancellation of an order, the request will only be granted on condition that the customer pays on demand all expenses and costs which have been incurred up to the date of the request for cancellation, including any loss of profit. The purchaser may only return a finished commissioned item if it is faulty. It must be returned within 10 working days starting from the day the goods are received by the purchaser.
